There are many things that happen right after you get engaged.  You start getting manicures more often, you bask in the glow of celebratory dinners and engagement parties, and you start carefully answering questions about your yet-to-be planned wedding.

Friends and family will start to ask you if you have picked a date and location, natural go-to questions, and then you will start to get questions about that all important centerpiece of your wedding:  The Dress.

Before I began planning my own wedding, I would kill time at work by looking at bridal blogs, and wistfully gazing at fluffy and form fitting creations in every shade of white, blush, and cream.  When I actually became engaged, the idea of picking “the most amazing dress I have ever, or will ever, wear in my life,” began to play some serious mind games on me.

Thankfully, one of my superhero Maid’s of Honor (I actually have two!) helped me get my head back in the game, and began setting up bridal appointments for me so I could begin the process of picking a dress.  She encouraged me to try on dress after dress, while she snuck photo after photo, so that I could make the best decision.

Above are some of my favorite inspiration dresses!  Next Week:  Key tips to shopping smart!
