How far in advance should a bride call you to schedule a consultation for her wedding day? Once she has called, how does the process work?
As soon as a wedding date is set, it is important to contact your hair stylist to make sure the date is available on their calendar. Arrange a consultation to meet in person and share your ideas of what you would like to see for your wedding day. You can then secure your wedding date by putting a deposit to lock that date on their calender.
What should a bride bring with her to help the two of your discuss and try options for her perfect bridal hair style?
Bring any photos of styles you like, hair accessories and veil if you have it at that time and another person you trust to give you feed back on styles that will be practiced on you. Come with an open mind to try variety of looks. Do not be shy about letting the stylist know if you are not satisfied with the style - After all, it is the time you are practicing to pick the perfect look for one of the most important days of your life.
Tell us a little bit about your hair styling experience?. What are a few of the most important lessons that you have learned along the way?
Having been in the industry for 24 years, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented stylists in the world. Previously I have been with Frederic Fekkai Beaute de provence in New York and as Senior hair designer with Elizabeth Arden Salon and Spa specializing in formal and bridal hair. I have worked with many celebrities and dignitaries. The experiences I have had through my journey as a stylist has taught me to connect with people on a deeper level so I understanding their personalities. Its all about the chemistry between people. Of course talent helps, too!!
Although we know you can create any look that a bride desires, how would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is simple elegance. I typically steer brides away from daily trends and create a look that fits their personality and the type of wedding they are having. When you look at your wedding photos years from now you want to look timeless and not think “what was I thinking choosing that hair-do”!! It is my job to make that look perfect and I take great pride in the efforts and time I put for each and every one of my brides.

That is my daughter, her bridal party and me in the photo’s above. Prior to the wedding Remona spent countless hours doing trial runs on both my daughter and me to try out different looks and styles on us. We could count on Remona to provide her honest input on what worked and what did not work– and we had loads of fun seeing how we looked in different “do’s”. Remona did everyone’s hair on the day of the wedding, standing on her feet for hours and hours working with each bridesmaid and the maid of honor on what each wanted and making sure there was still a coordinated “look” for the wedding party. Remona spent special time with the bride ensuring that she was the star of the day and totally stunning (ok, I am a little biased on this, but she is stunning). I was recently married on 5.1.10 and I had Ramona do my hair for my day. I cannot express how FANTASTIC she is, not only in what she does with hair, but also what she brings as a lovely human being. I was stressed and nervous, and Ramona was nothing but wonderful and reassuring that everything would turn out great. At our trial she was warm, inviting, and spent time trying different ideas until we both agreed on a style that was just right. On the day of, my hair looked even better than on the day of our trial!
