Bridal Fashion Week: Odylyne The Ceremony

October 17, 2016

We are excited to keep sharing everything we saw during Bridal Fashion Week and hope you are enjoying it as much as we are. Happy Monday!!

Odylyne The Ceremony, a Los Angeles based brand, had us dreaming about love stories and magic during Bridal Fashion Week.

When the stars align ever so perfectly a passionate, fiery romance manifests into two hearts. We love William Shakespeare’s idea that star crossed lovers are working against fate to preserve their love. A love story that has been written in the stars and the force that has brought them together would soon try to tear them apart.With a love that burns that bright comes a youthful immortality that is preserved. We are infatuated with the idea of the preservation of a young and innocent love. This kind of child like love is full of magic. Our Star Crossed Lovers Collection is an ode to this.” — Stephanie White, Designer of Odylyne The Ceremony

Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs;

Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers’ eyes;

Being vexed, a sea nourished with loving tears.

What is it else? A madness most discreet,

A choking gall, and a preserving sweet.

-William Shakespeare

Bridal Fashion Week: Ines Di Santo

October 14, 2016

We can’t get enough of the elegance and aesthetic design we saw in the Ines Di Santo’s Fall 2017 Bridal Collection during Bridal Fashion Week. We had a chance to talk to Samantha Kallen from Atelier PR and she shared some details about the designer’s inspiration behind this collection:

For this collection I imagined a beautiful patisserie- polished wood floors, delicate cups of coffee still served with a saucer and gleaming glass cases. The wonder that comes over each of us when it is our turn to choose…

My glass case is filled with beautiful confections. You’ll find gowns with delicate vines and petite flowers. You’ll find some with just a touch of sweetness in their lace overlay. A sprinkling of gowns that are deceptively simple, much like a madeleine- where the beauty emerges quietly. You’ll find a little pinch of spice. You’ll see the confections that are selected only for the grand celebration- to be savored slowly surrounded by dear friends and family.

Welcome to my patisserie. It is my wish that you will find a favorite!

Bridal Fashion Week: Berta Bridal

October 12, 2016

As you may already know, one of our editors had the opportunity to attend Bridal Fashion Week this past week.  We will be sharing some beautiful images from the runway along with the inspiration behind every collection. Enjoy!

Kate Bedrick from CodedPR shared with us:

“The inspiration for the new BERTA collection is derived in many ways from the world of Botany, and in particular – Flowers. As the crown jewels of the plants world, Flowers are fascinating to behold, magical to smell and have an endless array of colors. They arouse all senses, and have an admirable inner-complexity.

The Fall 2017 bridal collection from BERTA includes 30 masterpiece creations, sophisticated in cut & structure, and brings a new kind of aesthetics, emphasizing 3D flowers and lace appliques design, along with rich embellishments and brave use of color.

It’s a collection unlike any other, celebrating the design and craftsmanship capabilities to their max, with all dresses made from the finest materials. Each dress is a unique design that can stand alone, apart from any collection, and tell a different story about the bride that wears it. From boho, to art-deco, to rich and glamorous. Just like the variety that can be found in the world of flowers – all are different from one another but equally pretty on their own right. This collection has all of those different styles infused in it, while maintaining the famous BERTA fit & cut.

This collection brings a sensation of liberalism, nature wild freedom, and bold use of artistic approach to design. Those are gowns that were created in order to get the bride who wears them down the aisle, to blossom in the biggest day of her life.”image006
