We’re NUTS for Hoopla House Creative

December 29, 2014

The DW team recently had the pleasure of pairing up with a talented graphic designer! Meet Lindsay, our very own talented lady behind the awesome donut boxes that we delivered to our dearest friends in the wedding industry!

Lindsay  has always had a creative spark and has been at this since she was old enough to hold a crayon – and it just kept evolving from there. She loves creating a relationship with her clients and learning more about their unique theme and vision. “I find it to be such an honor to be apart of such profound moments in people’s lives and I’m truly excited to be involved in their big day!” says Lindsay. We wanted to learn more about her, so we thought we would ask a few questions…

What is your favorite color palette to work with?– warm colors or cold colors?

I was once told that designers should never have a “favorite color” – that word of advice stuck with me. I’ve learned to love all colors because there’s always a perfect situation for every color.

I would have to say though that I enjoy working with unexpected palettes the most. I love when a bride comes to me with a request like a “winter pastel palette.” Most people would think pastels are reserved for summer or spring weddings but why not use it for a winter wedding? If you love the color, there is always a way to make it work!

What do you think are the essential paper products needed at any and every wedding?

Wedding stationery goes way beyond wedding invitations! But if you’re on a budget, that doesn’t mean you have to say, “yes” to every piece. Some of the essential pieces include Save The Dates, Invitations, RSVP Cards, Table Numbers, Place Cards and Thank You Cards. However, this is unique for each wedding and couple though. For example, destination weddings may have different needs than a wedding in your home town so it’s important to set a budget and work with your designer to figure out the perfect stationery set that works for your unique wedding!

Thank you so much Lindsay for creating fun tags for our DW favorites! We will be sharing some of Hoopla House Creative printables for some upcoming holidays, made especially for District Weddings, so keep posted!
