I could spend hours and hours browsing blogs for wedding inspiration. Well, okay, maybe I already do this…but, a new site and search engine, lover.ly, now offers more fabulous wedding eye candy.

With an archive of over 100,000 images, you are sure to find pictures and wedding ideas that you love –and, the database is updating and evolving daily.

I did a quick search for “linen”, and let me tell you, I have been browsing for at least the past hour…

Bride Blogger Update: Pin It!

Inspiration boards can be key to getting all of your vendors on the same page. They can even remind you of patterns that you have found along the way displaying your likes and loves. Today, Marybeth tells us about the latest craze in picture collection — and watch out, it is so fabulous!

When James and I first got engaged, I immediately bought multiple wedding and bridal magazines. Each time I came across a dress or caked I liked, I ripped the page from the magazine. I planned to save the pages and when the time came to pick a cake or invitations, I would have examples of what I liked to show our planner. I quickly amassed a huge pile of ripped magazine pages, and two weeks later I already had trouble finding specific pictures. There was no way I would make it a year plus with this lack of organization, but a few weeks ago I discovered the best solution, Pinterest.com.

Pinterest is a virtual pin board, that you can “pin” all of your findings to, right from the website you find them on. You name each of your pinboards and also assign it a category. Categories range from books, to weddings and recipes. After you start pining you can browse other users pinboards and “repin” any items they have that you like.

The website says you will need to request an invite, but within 10 minutes of requesting mine I received an email confirming my account. It’s only been a few days, but I’ve started 4 boards – Wedding Style, Good Reads, What I Wear and Favorite Eats.

As usual, Martha did not disappoint! I am looking forward to a fun spring wedding on Saturday and a lovely Easter celebration on Sunday! Does anyone have exciting plans?

Cranberry Inspiration Board

Volanni – Holiday Decor

It was so fun to start off the week yesterday with a dusting of snow on the ground…then, I was lucky enough to stop by the White House to see the beautiful holiday decor!

My favorite tree was one dedicated to County Fairs across the nation…but the fruit themed wreaths were certainly a close runner up…oh, and the replica of the most famous dog in America, Bo, made with approximately 39,000 pipe cleaners twisted into curls to resemble the Portuguese water dog’s coat wasn’t too shabby either…More on that later but today, I have holiday inspiration that is going to blow you away!

I am pleased to share this beautiful holiday decor from Volanni…this is major inspiration!!

Thanksgiving Inspiration

Thanksgiving is just a day away and I could not be more excited to spend time relaxing and eating with my family and friends – and of course, catching a little of the Macy’s Day Parade and football! Italian Wedding Inspiration

At District Weddings, we truly believe that wedding inspiration can be found anywhere! After an amazing dinner as Casa Nonna last night, I have Italian inspiration on my mind…So, I think I am totally into a pasta buffet Casa Nonna style with a lovely Meringue Cake for dessert!

Fall Seasonal Inspiration

Hello and happy friday to everyone! Where the heck did this week go? I mean, seriously, this was a crazy week! But, here we are, welcoming the weekend. And, despite this rain, I am so exciting that the fall season is arriving.

As many of my friends and family know, I have a minor obsession with the fall – Starbucks pumpkin lattes make me oddly happy; I have a weird affinity for apple picking; I could live on butternut squash.

So, today I am sharing a bit of fall inspiration…and oh yes – did I mention that I really heart gourds? I just can’t help myself. I REALLY do love them!
