Traditional Timeless

Jimmy Tran and Camela Bulacan

April 19, 2017

Cultural traditions are what make weddings so incredibly meaningful. They tie the past to the present, and the traditional tea ceremony is the perfect example. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend the beginning of your Big Day taking a look at todays real wedding with this gorgous and relaxed couple! Todays classic elegant D.C. wedding took the time to honor their famlies and their elders by doing a traditional tea ceremony and tying the knot at the well known Dahlgren Chapel where they were able to include some of their Filipino traditions! Their elegance and styled day ended on the dancefloor with the ultimate dance party!

Traditional Country Club Wedding – Real Wedding of Sara + Skip

April 5, 2017

Sara and Skip’s first date was to a Michael Buble concert at the Verizon Center, after being introduced through a mutual friend who was actually one of Sara’s bridesmaids. Months later, Skip surprised her with an engagement celebration over 4th of July weekend. Just like their first months together, their wedding was also remarkable. Skip’s favorite moment of the night was seeing Sara walk down the aisle with a big smile on her face. Sara’s favorite moment was dancing to”Stand by Me” with her Dad.
The wedding colors were lilac and gold and the wedding decor incorporated the bride and groom’s personalities: romantic, classic, modern, and fun. On the day of the rehearsal, Sara enjoyed taking her bridesmaids to Yoga and then Color Bar to make and design their own earrings to wear with the bridesmaids dresses they had all picked out. It was incredible to see how their different earring designs matched their fun and unique personalities. Although the couple contemplated a destination wedding, they were happy to have decided on Congressional Country Club because it is a meaningful place to them in which they will continue to create and share special memories as a married couple.

Spring is in the Air – Real Wedding of Elise + A.J.

March 29, 2017

We met at a dinner party hosted by mutual friends. Our first date was a stroll around the Tidal Basin during the Cherry Blossom Festival. We got engaged on New Year’s Eve before heading out to celebrate our engagement and ring in 2015 with friends! We wanted a classic and timeless wedding and got exactly that. When I was young I visited downtown Washington, DC and saw the young women in their business suits and sneakers and told my father that one day that would be me. It didn’t take very long before I made my dream come true. It only made sense to marry in the city that we met and fell in love in! National Women in the Arts is and will always be a timeless and classically gorgeous venue.

A White Wedding – Real Wedding of Amanda and Brian

February 9, 2017

Amanda & Brian always knew when planning a January wedding that snow was a possibility, so they were delighted when the forecast called for a few inches! Despite the freezing temperatures, these two (and their wedding party!) braved the cold. Every detail from the elegant gold welcome mirror and hot cider bar to the oversized seating chart and branches dripping in florals proved that nothing went unthought. They chose plum and gold for the color scheme to warm up an otherwise chilly day! Guests enjoyed dancing the night away in the Carnegie rotunda.
