Built in 1918 the space was, as the name suggests, a torpedo manufacturing factory, and it retains much of its original character today. The exposed pipes, mushroom shaped columns and smokestack give the space a unique, industrial character, while the new industrial style railings, light fixtures and brightly painted studio doors give the space a more modern feel.

With artwork created by over 160 artists spread throughout the venue, the Art Center creates a beautiful canvas for a reception.

The building includes a two story atrium with a wrap around balcony, overlooking the main hall. Additionally, an outdoor deck area as well as bricked terraces that can be tented allow for a beautiful outdoor space along the Potomac River.  With the ability to accommodate both parties large and small, the Torpedo Factory is easily transformed to fit a range of visions.

The Torpedo Factory Art Center offers a preferred caterer list and works exclusively with John Farr Lighting Design for lighting. Additionally, sound and tents used at the venue often come through Rent-All Center.

Featuring three fireplaces and six colonial-style dining rooms which range in size from small and intimate, to spacious and open, the Inn can accommodate up to 275 seated guests. A tented outdoor ceremony on the back patio can accommodate up to 160 guests.

The Mount Vernon Inn provides a list of recommended vendors. The Inn also offers in-house china, glassware, flatware, tables, chairs and linens while additional upgraded outside equipment may be rented through their business partners.

With a plethora of spaces to choose from, the Mansion on O Street, located just off of Dupont Circle, has the ability to hold ceremonies and receptions ranging in size from 2 to 300. With 30 dining areas, both formal and informal, every bride is sure to find something she likes!

The Mansion on O Street has in-house catering and complementary wedding advisors on-site to help each bride make her dream a reality. The space is known for hosting a number of distinguished figures from heads of state to members of the entertainment industry – so very VIP D.C.!

The Formal Rose Gardens are a stunning place for the ceremony and the breath taking Glass Enclosed Pavilion can be used for either the ceremony or the reception. As if all of these spots weren’t enough, the Antrim also has a lawn and mansion, which are the perfect backdrop for a cocktail hour.

With both an indoor and outdoor space available, the Textile Museum presents many different options for a truly memorable affair. The beautiful indoor space located just off the lobby of the building has the “feel of a grand old mansion” according to Katy Clune, the museum’s Communications and Marketing manager.

The historic building, which boasts “a black and white checkered marble floor and ceiling-height French doors” offers a spacious area to show off your décor.  Guests are also welcome to explore the museum during your event, giving the evening a sophisticated feel.

As if the elegant indoor space wasn’t enough, Katy gushes over the sprawling gardens behind the museum, which are failed with trees surrounding a pebbled courtyard. The gardens, which can accommodate up to 200, or 125 for a seated dinner, offer a unique view of the surrounding rooftops.
