The National Press Club is the perfect venue for couples interested in journalism or politics – or anyone who is simply looking for a beautiful space with amazing views!

Your guests will love walking through the lobby lined with original newspaper mats dating back to 1820; perusing the photographs of politicians, musicians, and other celebrities that frequent the site; and gazing out the window at the expansive views of the White House and Washington Monument. These details, a mix of old and new, are sure to make your wedding unforgettable!

The National Press Club holds both ceremonies and receptions. Many couples choose to host their celebration in the spacious Ballroom or the gilded Holeman Lounge, depending on size, while cocktail receptions are commonly held in the First Amendment, also called the “Room with a View”!

What to Wear: R.S.V.P. with Style IV

Today’s final wedding was held last September at Westwood Country Club in Vienna, Virginia. The bride selected two beautiful hues for her color palette — cranberry red and deep purple, accented with just a hint of gold.

As we all know, September in D.C. is still very warm. Though it is also post-Labor Day, so if you’re a traditionalist, white is out.

Check out these halter-style dresses from Intermix. The top left print is my favorite, though the bottom left chocolate matte jersey number is also very chic. The blue is bold and very stunning; and the grey is safe and so pretty. Any of these halter styles would be so fun for a September D.C. wedding!
