Last Thursday, November 5th, I was lucky enough to attend an absolutely FABULOUS tasting held at RSVP Catering. Setting the standard for DC metro events, RSVP never fails to impress with its fresh ingredients, innovative dishes and cocktails, and outstanding service.
RSVP also boasts its signature in-house party rental equipment, allowing you to plan your entire event as smoothly as possible.
Upon arrival, RSVP met its guests with wonderful fall-inspired cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres. Some of my favorites included a deliciously warm and creamy Wild Mushroom Soup Shooter and a mouthwatering Scallop & Bacon Arancini. So yummy!
While guests mingled and tasted the various offerings, RVSP also set up a fantastic spread in the tasting room with fresh Crab Dip and Spinach & Artichoke Fondue. But there was more!….
Next was the buffet, and let me tell you, it is TOO easy to have eyes bigger than your stomach when looking at RSVP dishes! Here are a few of the selections…
Winter Spinach Salad with Apple
Winter Spinach Salad with Crumbled Bleu Cheese, Grilled Apples, Walnuts &
Mushrooms in Cider Shallot Vinaigrette
Red Wine Braised Brisket with Horseradish Sauce
Cabernet Braised Beef Brisket with Horseradish Demi Sauce
Sweet Potato Gratin with Pecan Streusel (my FAVORITE!)
Sweet Potato Mashed & Blended with Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, Toasted Pecans,
& Maple Topped with Streusel
For the grand finale, RSVP Catering presented a dessert table that portrayed nothing less than a gourmet candy land! Next to a Holiday Cheesecake Lollipop Trio towered a pyramid filled sky high with delicious Holiday Mini Cupcakes. There were also RSVP Signature Petit Fours, Mexican Weddings Cookies, and Designer Chocolate Dipped Strawberries- too many to choose from!
Overall, it was a wonderful and delectable night at RSVP Catering, tasting the delicious food, mingling with the guests, and meeting with the wonderful staff. RSVP, thank you so very much for having us! Stay tuned for the next RSVP Tasting- you will not want to miss it!

cheesecake lollipops?! omg!
How come you guys don’t discuss prices (or even ranges) in any posts on the website? It seems like that would make sense and kinda strange how it’s not discussed, especially in posts that are reviewing companies, venues, etc. It would be VERY helpful!
Thank you so much for your comment – we love hearing from you! The reason that District Weddings does not discuss pricing is that price points often fluctuate based on quantity, date, individual relationships and are overall negotiable. It is important that we share accurate information with our readers. Of course, if you have specific questions, please do email us! We will try to do a better job of indicating vendor price ranges in the future.
