Say “Yes” to a Little Dress

Okay, here’s the story… It was half-way into our reception.  We had just finished dinner, danced our first dance, father-daughter and mother-son dances, and the band was taking a quick break before we cut the cake.  I was having the time of my life…but I was also hot.  Very hot.  I adored my wedding dress, but at that very moment, I wanted it off.  I needed it off.  It weighed 20 pounds and it was, literally, bringing me down.

Since we were having an after-party, I had a little white dress waiting for me in a changing room.  My plan was to change right before we left the reception.  However, at that very moment, all I wanted was that little dress.

So, I changed.  Before we cut the cake, before we started really dancing, and well before we left the reception.  Off went the big dress and on went the little one.  And, without a doubt, I FELT LIKE A NEW WOMAN.

I was able to dance, to move through the crowd, to sit down on my chair without the help of two people (do you know how small those chivari chairs really are!?), and I didn’t have to worry about people stepping on my big dress (it happened too many times to count).

I know you’re thinking, “I’ve just spent loads of money on my wedding gown…there’s no way I’m buying another dress.”  And that’s just fine, you’ll likely want to wear your big dress the whole night.  All I can say is that I couldn’t be more thankful that I had a little dress to put on.  It took my night from great to spectacular.

Seriously.  What I thought was going to be a little fun indulgence for the after-party, turned into a lifesaver for the reception…

Just something to think about…

I am desperately looking for this dress to change into at the end of my wedding which is this June 11th, and I thin it is prob too late to order. I was wondering if you were looking to sell the one that you wore, and if so, what size it was?
