Coren Moore Brides & Bridesmaids, Part III

You no longer have to worry about finding a dress that is flattering, yet still fun and flirty.  Look at these beautiful real weddings — the bridesmaids are all wearing Coren Moore.  Sometimes, the styles will vary throughout a wedding party — each bridesmaid will choose her favorite style and the bride will pick the color.  Other times, the bridesmaids are more traditionally dressed in matching attire.  The choice is yours — either way, you must check out Coren Moore!

Coren Moore Brides & Bridesmaids, Part II

Today we are ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the new Coren Moore brides and bridesmaids collections.  I am so lucky to have Jackie, from Coren Moore, here to offer her insight on these gorgeous new dresses!

From Jackie…

The top photo shows the Chloe dress from our Collection line, in Satin (also available in Shantung, or with a lace overlay).  It has a more mermaid-style skirt.  The bottom photo is the Francie style with a beautiful traditional A-line skirt.

We are also thrilled to be adding new fabrics into the line.  Bridal gown fabric options are satin, silk shantung, and white dotted tulle.  An overlay of scalloped or alencon lace is also available for some Collection gowns.  For bridesmaids -in addition to silk shantung, eyelet, and seersucker- dresses are also being offered in Italian cotton sateen, as well as black Swiss-dot.

Thank you so much, Jackie, for sharing your insight and these gorgeous bridal gowns with us!  Coren Moore dresses can be found locally at Promise…for the savvy bride in Bethesda, Maryland.

Next up…fun, flirty bridesmaids dresses!

Coren Moore Brides & Bridesmaids!

Today I am super excited to share with you the latest and greatest…sent to us from Jackie at Coren Moore Brides & Bridesmaids!

First, a little about the fabulous Coren Moore…

From Jackie…

In the summer of 2003, following her own wedding, Coren moved to New York where she launched a new line of bridesmaid and cocktail dresses.  Inspired by her love of colorful fabrics, Coren began designing a line of dresses with classic, elegant lines that would appeal to brides and their attendants looking for stylish, flattering, and fun dress options.

During that first season, all work was done out of Coren’s Brooklyn apartment and a small sample room in Manhattan’s garment district.  Business grew each year through word of mouth, and today the company works with over 50 independently owned retail stores, and has an office and showroom in Manhattan.  Dresses are still made in the USA, in New York City’s garment district.

Now…on to the photos!

More from Jackie…

In addition to our formal bridal Collection line, we are introducing the bridal Signature line, which offers excellent options for more the more casual bride, destination weddings, and brides who are looking for more cost-effective, yet elegant, options.

These pictures are of the “Ruby” dress from our Signature bridal line, and is a white dotted tulle overlay on silk shantung.  So cute!  I just love this dress.  Some brides like this dress for a beachy or more casual wedding.  Other brides get it for the rehearsal dinner or after party!

What a fun dress!  Love, love, love it!

The Coren Moore line can be found at Promise…for the savvy bride, located at 4931 A St. Elmo Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland.

More to come in a bit!

Real Wedding: Jackie & Donovan IV

I am so thankful that Jackie, from Coren Moore Brides & Bridesmaids, has shared her wedding photos with us.  She and Donovan were married in D.C. last September.

When I asked her about why she chose to have her wedding in D.C., here’s what she said…

From Jackie…

D.C.’s where I grew up.  I knew it would be fun to come home from New York on weekends and plan wedding stuff with my mom!  I also wanted to my grandmother to not have to travel.  Plus, D.C. is just gorgeous, and I think we chose the most beautiful time of year.  We definitely had perfect weather!

I couldn’t agree more!

Here are all of the wonderful vendors and venues who helped Jackie create this perfect day…

Ceremony Location: Shine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Chevy Chase – Where my parents got married over 40 years ago!

Reception Location: Mandarin Oriental, DC - We chose this because it is in the heart of DC, but felt totally removed and peaceful – like an urban sanctuary.  It was understated elegance, the level of service was superb, and it was a formal location without feeling “stuff” or uncomfortable.  Plus – I knew the food was going to be amazing, and it was!

Real Wedding: Jackie & Donovan III

If you’re just joining us for the first time today, I am so thankful that my newest friend, Jackie, from Coren Moore Brides & Bridesmaids, sent me her real wedding photos.

From Jackie, on planning a D.C. wedding…

Options are endless.  We had a rustic tented rehearsal dinner in the woods overlooking the Potomac, and a formal, sleek, contemporary wedding reception.  They were completely different, but both so very DC.

Take advantage of the beauty of the surroundings.  Also – you don’t always have to go with the most well known vendors.  I HIGHLY recommend getting invitations, programs, placecards, and all other paper needs through Just Paper and Tea (in Georgetown).  Caroline (she and her husband own the shop) were absolutely amazing.  They are so nice, and have incredible taste!
