Modern Orthodox Jewish Gay Wedding

Ron and Yoni are a gay couple and they are also Modern Orthodox Jews. They wanted to be married in D.C. under a chuppah, in a synagogue, and by an Orthodox rabbi.

This past November, at Sixth and I Synagogue, they were married by Rabbi Steve Greenberg surrounded by family and friends from the D.C. Minyan where the are members. Ron and Yoni took the better part of a year to create the ceremony, adapting the traditional Orthodox Jewish wedding ceremony to be acceptable for a gay couple. Very special!

The Hotel Monaco Washington DC

The Hotel Monaco is one of Washington, D.C.’s most unique boutique hotels, making it an extremely desirable venue for weddings and other special events. The newly renovated hotel, located at 700 F Street NW, is sophisticated yet warm and inviting place to celebrate your big day.

“The Hotel Monaco is such a unique and contemporary venue,” says Buddee Clinton, Director of Catering and Special Events. Clinton added that the hotel, which is on the site of the original American General Post Office, has managed to preserve its historical charm even after undergoing recent renovations.

Real Wedding by Jodi Moraru & Associates, Part II

Oh, I wish I had been a guest at this wedding.  I wish I could be a guest at every wedding planned by Jodi Moraru & Associates, but this one is particularly lovely.

Listen to these absolutely perfect details… The signature cocktail?  The “Perfect Pair.”  The chuppah?  Suspended baby’s breath.  The first dance?  Acoustic Rihanna!  Don’t you wish you had been there?!?

Look at the cupcake flowers, beautifully created by Fancy Cakes by Leslie.  And just in case their guests were still craving something sweet, the couple (with Jodi’s help) arranged for strolling dessert carts attended by waiters.  Love it!
