A D.C. wedding at the Washington National Cathedral and a reception at The Four Seasons is certain to be as good as it gets! Liz and Patrick are classically elegant and their wedding reflects their style. With an ah-mazing vendor team - Michele Hodges Events, Edge, DC Rental, Party Rental, Ltd and John Farr Lighting - this celebration was a romantic swoon-worthy affair. Jen and Chris were married one year ago on 11/11/11. For a girl obsessed with number patterns, this was a dream date – to complement her dream husband! The Corcoran was able to accommodate the 180 guests while also offering a beautiful ambiance with high ceilings and separate spaces for cocktails and dinner and dancing.
Jen, being from New Jersey, wanted to have a huge cocktail reception – full of action stations, passed hors d’oeuvres and grazing stations. Occasions Caterers fit the bill and offered guests a delicious menu with a lovely presentation.
As for decor, Edge designed a jaw-dropping 8 foot tree with hanging crystals for the escort card “table”. During cocktails, Jen and Chris hired Jamie Turner (who you may have seen by the Torpedo Factory playing his water glasses) as the entertainment. This was a nod to Chris, who is a music teacher!
Well, I could go on and on…but, I think the pictures speak for themselves…enjoy!
The wedding of Amanda and Alex is just beautiful…and not in a generic beautiful sense, but a truly styled way. From the venue to the stationery to the attire to the flowers to the food, its all just lovely. Elegant and sophisticated, yet comfortable and welcoming – how often can you say that about a wedding?
