White Hall Manor Fall Wedding

Nicole and Jon’s mutual love of the outdoors certainly came into play during their rustic September wedding at White Hall Manor. Between the natural beauty of the venue and the simple, elegant florals, we’re head over heels! Thanks to the ladies of A. Dominick Events for sending over this beauty to start our Monday off right!

From the Bride:

How We Met:

We met at a bar. It was a mutual friend, Scotty’s birthday at Tortoise and Hare and another mutual friend, John Garry, was guest bartending. Ordering a drink, I caught eyes with a guy eying me; he quickly moved in for the introduction. Talking with Jon, we discovered our mutual love for music, going to shows, and being outdoors. Intrigued that we both regularly went to Wilmers Park for festivals and traveled to see the same bands (and against better judgment), I decided he might be an okay guy and gave him my number.

How We Got Engaged:

We were visiting Nicole’s parents in Arizona on our way to Cali for a wedding. The four of us went hiking in Sedona all day and stopped in Jerome, a town on the side of a mountain many artists migrated to when Sedona became overpopulated.

Browsing gallery after gallery, we stopped in the last one and were informed an artist was spinning pottery on the ground level outside. We went down, chatted for a while, and stepped outside leaving the folks in conversation with the hippie-guy. Staring at a rack of blown glass and spun pottery, we began discussing how great it would be to get some art from this artist but with more travel, delicates were a poor choice.

As my mind drifted, I accidentally wondered aloud if this guy “does a registry?” Abruptly turning to Jon to backtrack the statement (and not completely freak the poor guy out) he began saying something about needing to be engaged to have a registry while simultaneously pulling a box from his pocket. He then asked for Nikki G’s hand in marriage. (He calls me Nikki G). And that’s how it happened…
